A classic Late Ming Dynasty ensemble, refreshed with modern prints, colors, and details! Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, you'll notice little references to fantastical dreamscapes throughout the set.

Start with either a light blue or deep indigo Changshan 长衫 (standing collar long shirt) with long dramatic sleeves, embroidered sleeve and collar details, and butterfly beading around the neck. 

Layer the Bijia 比甲 (long vest) with embroidered motifs of vases and flowers along the collar. A contrasting blue waist tie and blue embroidery thread create a contemporary feel to this classic garment. 

Finally pair with the rabbit print Mamian 马面 (horse face skirt) featuring a double Lan 襕 (border brocade design). The double Lan 襕 design specifically with a wider border at the knees is a rather underrated style of Mamian. Brocade contain images of porcelain vases, fine antiques, flowers, and auspicious jade rabbits with the elixir of life! 

Note: this is a modernized Mamian skirt, comes with buttons to hold down the flaps and waist. Waist ties are tied on separately to help create varying designs.

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
